Spending the holidays in Dallas this year, we had the best stay at Sheraton Dallas. We were in Dallas to spend time with Jeremy’s family & decided to stay in the heart of town to soak up the long weekend.
If you haven’t been to Dallas, it’s a really fun city with tons to do. I have a running list of new restaurants to try, there’s some really amazing museums, parks & tons of fun events in town. Be sure to check out my instagram guide for an updated list here.
As we walked in to check in to the most beautiful (and huge hotel) right in downtown Dallas, we were blown away that we hadn’t been before. It checks all the marks- super centrally located, walking distance to a lot of places we love, affordably priced, restaurant/bar/coffee shop & clean/big rooms. It’s just a few minutes walking or super short drive to Deep Ellum which is Jeremy & my favorite part of town to spend the day in with many cute coffee shops, vintage stores, restaurants & bars. It’s also right around the corner from East Quarter, a new part of Dallas being renovated with new restaurants.
Sheraton is also super close to downtown restaurants with amazing views, American Airlines center (hockey games, basketball games, shows & concerts), and more. We were also close to the Dallas Farmers market and enjoyed walking and eating through on the weekend.
Jer & I love to stay fit while we travel, so the gym was actually one of our favorite parts about staying at the Sheraton. The gym was HUGE & I was shocked that they had SIX peloton bikes. Tons of weights, a treadmill & a great view of their pool & downtown.
During the holidays, theres even more to do in Dallas, which is why we decided to go. We soaked up the holiday decor around town & ended up walking through town gazing at the Christmas lights (you can also do so via horse drawn carriage). There’s ice skating, Christmas tree lightings, The Nutcracker and much more.
