What an amazing day to share with your loved ones how much they truly mean to you. Valentine's Day is one of those Hallmark Holidays Americans celebrate to share their love for one another. Whether it's kids in school sending cards, teenagers swapping their first kiss or adults spending a night to celebrate their love; it's a special day. On this day many people feel resentment when spending this day alone, but what most people forget is the relationship you have with yourself is the most important than any relationship. If you're single, why not spend the day "doing you" and prioritizing self-care and compassion.
1. Girls Night In
Is there anything better than hanging out with your girlfriends in your PJs drinking wine, eating junk food and watching a chick flick? I don't think so! Grab your favorite goodies and throw on some 50 Shades of Grey or Valentine's Day and enjoy the night with your favorite ladies!
2. "Me night"
Face mask, bubble bath, a glass of champagne & some bomb music. These are the ingredients to the best night in recipe I know. Relax by yourself, go to bed early and wake up tomorrow ready to take on the world!
3. Treat-yo-self night
Why not hit up the dry-bar, spa, nail salon & get those lash extensions you've always wanted. Sometimes you need to treat-yo-self like the boss that you are. Who needs a man for that? If yo work hard, why not gift yourself a little sumthin' sumthin'!
4. Galentine
Do you have an amazing friend who's also single? Plan a date night! Buy her flowers and tell her how great of a friend she is. Go to a restaurant you've been meaning to try and enjoy the night together. Sometimes it's nice to be around another single gal pal who's lonely!
5. Night on the town
Did you know there are a ton of bar crawls and events for singles on Valentine's Day? It's a fun night to go out with zero expectations to just have some drinks and mingle. This one on Polk Street I hear is a blast. If you don't live on SF, google one for your city!
