a few months ago i fell in love with MNTSTUDIO. i started to religiously go to their pilates reformer classes and the reformer bootcamps (what a booty kicker). i love that i started to see a change in my body and my balance and seriously have been loving it ever since. i have to admit to you though, i was scared to take their other classes that i was less familiar with. MNT pilates bootcamp and MNTbarre, because i’ve always seen myself as an athlete but not an dancer. i have tried a few barre/mat pilates classes in the past but they weren’t my jam.
it’s been a few years and some of my favorite reformer pilates instructors also teach some of the barre and pilates classes upstairs. i mustered up the courage to take a new class and to my surprise i totally fell in love. i felt a little awkward just showing up , but looking around the room there were so many people in it with me. all of us were sweating, giggling, some of us groaning and overall enjoying getting our butts kicked. the barre and pilates classes at MNT are so much more of a challenge than the other studios i’ve tried, and i left a hot sweaty mess (in a good way).
i started enjoying the classes so much, i even convinced my mom to come take a class with me and she absolutely loved it. i love that these classes are for any fitness level and there are always modifications shown in case you need it. the instructors are seriously so fun and motivating and it’s my new thing. i never thought i’d be a barre girl or pilates, but look at me, i’m that girl and i’m absolutely loving it. sometimes stepping outside your comfort zone again and again will show you that you may learn to fall in love with new things.
so, if you’re down to try something new- let’s take a class together. who knows, you may fall in love too!
