Thanksgiving is just a few days away you guys. I have a Friendsgiving to head to and a big family Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house this week. One of my favorite things about the holidays is the fashion. On my moms side of the family, the ladies are SO fashionable. Last year my aunt walked in the door with a silk jumpsuit and a faux-fur coat. My other aunt is a huge thrifter, so she always shows off her designer steals styled from head-to-toe. My cousin Caity is also super fashion-forward and always has a new knit sweater, leather legging or bag to show off.
This year, my family is hosting, so I the less I have to think about the better. Getting a jumpsuit or dress is always the best bet, since you just throw em' on and go! I've been eyeing this Free People Sweater Dress for months now, but wasn't willing to buy it full price. The other week I was in Orange County and they had it in the store for 50% off! I saw it on the sale rack and told my friend Sheila I had to get it. The shimmer and the velvet belt are what sold me. I think it was a good decision. Its perfect for the fashion-forward holiday at my parents.
