The easiest outfit for Winter as we head in to Spring is a sweater, jeans and boots. I've mentioned this before and I can't tell you enough how fool proof this look is. Firstly, it's super easy to pick out in the morning. Secondly, you can throw on just about any sweater and make this look work. Lastly, it's cozy and comfortable (if you have the right boots). I've always liked a warm oversized sweater. I especially think oversized sweaters look amazing with skinny jeans and tall boots. Sometimes big sweaters can make you loose your shape, so with this look I did a little front tuck of the sweater so it wasn't too "billowy".
Color wise- feel free to reach for something bold. I try to stay away from bright in the winter, but bold is perfect. This year you've probably been seeing a bunch of jewel tones. Reds, purples, deep greens and bold turquoises. Now that the season is coming to an end, you'll surely be able to find some of your favorite sweaters on sale. I usually hit up Nordstrom Rack in March to grab some Vince sweaters & stock up. They are usually 1/4 of the price. It's worth it for me to wait, since San Francisco can get pretty chilly.
These boots I got on sale on sale from Anthropologie and they are sold out everywhere online. The ones linked below are super similar. If you are looking for a good ripped denim like the ones I have, you can grab the ones I have (and love) from Mother OR you can grab some similar and more affordable from Urban Outfitters.
