you all know i’m a city girl and since my new office opened up in san francisco my life has completely changed (for the better). i’ve always dreamed of walking to work, walking to lunch, getting coffee mid-day and going to the gym after work. it sounds so simple, but for five-and-a-half years i sat on a bus to and from work (which would total to over three hours a day). now that i have the opportunity to live and work in the same city, i take full advantage.

now that i walk so much (it’s about 30 minutes each way), i have to dress comfortable. i tried wearing booties one day and let me tell you i regretted it for days after. of course, i prefer to look cute but a requirement is i have to be comfortable. i got the opportunity to try out Athleta’s new commute/work line that you can literally wear to work and to the gym, and i’m now obsessed.

i hate lugging around gym clothes in my backpack (and carrying them for an hour around town), so if an outfit can be worn for both- i’m completely sold. the quality of this line is out of this world. the leggings are super thick and high waisted (which is a must). the sweater can be thrown on top of any tank top and is super stretchy (not at all scratchy), the jacket is lightweight & goes with just about everything. not to mention this super fun backpack that has all the perfect compartments for a worker on the go (water bottle slot, laptop slot, pocket for all your cords & a nice big front pocket).

this line is a game changer- and i feel like whoever designed it had me in mind. i’m all about being cute, but it HAS to be functional. i have to be able to get my use out of the products over and over again. if i can wear them on my commute, at work AND after- then it’s a grand slam. i am now challenging myself this month to #WorkInYourWorkout by trying out this new form of staying active throughout my workday. i wore these pants to work then pilates and they were super comfortable and high-performing. thanks so much Athleta for making this super versatile line.
